Chris was born in Ely in Cambridgeshire and developed his love of art and natural history at an early age. Although he has travelled widely he retains has a special affinity for the people, landscapes and wildlife of the UK.
Chris went to school in Guildford, Surrey and studied at Epsom School of Art before going on the study design at Central School of Art and Design in London.
Since then he has worked as a designer for over 30 years always returning to his love of art as a way to engage with the world around him.
He currently lives and works in Hampshire as a garden designer and lecturer in garden design. Chris’s work is mostly figurative and ranges from portraiture to landscape and wildlife painting. Working in a variety of media, chris is equally comfortable working in watercolour as he is in oils, he creates some printed work using techniques such as drypoint and acid etching as well as relief printing. Exhibiting locally in Hampshire and surrounding counties, he is currently working on a series of paintings commissioned by a private client.
